BA Seating Plans
I have a printout I made several months ago of the seating arrangement and those seats we have reserved, as well as seats occupied and available, but I can't bring up a current copy. I'm reasonably certain I obtained this through Amadeus, "Check my Trip" but was unable to find anything about seating when I went to that site today.
I have also tried BA's site and Seat Guru, both of which only show the seat conformation, but no info on our seats, occupied and unoccupied seats, etc.
Can someone give me an URL to get the info I need?
Thanks

Note this is a general guide only, but it is all I could find on the BA site.
I have only flown BA intra-europe, and have only been able to request seat changes a few hours ahead of departure.

Don't know when the last time cindiloowho flew BA ,,but last year I was surprised to find a BIT more room..asked the flight attendeant about it and he said the planes had a slight configuration and there was additional space. This was a flight from Orlando/London..maybe different routes have different seats

I don't think BA has the "seat pinpointer" service that others use (AA, UA, NW) that allows you to see real-time seat availability. Of course the closer you get to your flight date the less open seats there are likely to be. Probably best to pick up the old telephone and ask a human. How 20th Century.

We flew BA last Sep RT from the west coast to London. The staff treats you well but it was cramped in coach to the point of being uncomfortable. We found being toward the back of the plane was better as there were more "facilities" with easier access and less lines. Our BA flight from London to Rome was a smaller plane which offered more room.

I have to agree wholeheartedly with both cindiloowho and crab. It does not make a difference in seats if you are in cattle class (aka coach or economy). Too true, the seats are very narrow and legroom is practically zero. Years ago on their 747's the seats were wider and there was a wee bit more legroom.

Thanks to all who replied. I had found the seating plan on BA which wasn't what I was looking for, thus my post. We have been flying BA to Europe for a number of years now, so we are familiar with the "ever popular economy class," which we don't find much more uncomfortable than other carriers. We like the individual TV screens, free booze, and so far have always been treated well by the cabin crews. We don't like the changes they made in their FF program, which is Robin Hood in reverse, taking coaches' miles and giving them to business & first, so may change carriers next year, depending on what prices we find.
We like flying from SFO to London and then on to our final destination, which is one of the reasons we stay with BA. We don't like flying to Chicago, NY/Newark, or DC, changing planes and then on to Europe. We find it more difficult and much more tiring.
It's truly a mystery, since I do have the printout and now can't find the site again. Our seats are assigned and I realize that more and more seats are filled as our departure date approaches, I was just curious if what is left might be preferable to what we have, before we call and try to wangle somewhat better seats.
Again thanks to everyone for trying to help!
