B & B in Cashel area

Does anyone know of a really good B & B in the Cashel area--we will be staying for 3 nights and want a triple ensuite room with a great breakfast and friendly hosts. Am looking for one that has good recommendations from my Fodor's traveling friends Thanks so much!!

Good Luck with Joy's Rockside. I have e-mailed them twice, no response. My sister has e-mailed them, no response. We both have called their number, no one has answered. A few days ago when I tryed calling again, the message came on that the number was no longer in service. The reviews have been so wonderful we were looking forward to staying there. But I guess it was not ment to be.

Joy's Rockside House email:

[email protected] or [email protected]

To phone from the US: 011-353-62-638-13 Fax is the same. Make sure the number is correct.

Sometimes emails go astray. Try again.

Also, Rem Joy has been ill. They may have gone on vacation for a few days to rest up for the season. Be patient. B&B owners have a life in the off-season. It is not like a hotel that has 24/7 staff. These are Mom and Pop businesses.

I stayed at a Farmhouse B&B called Dualla House last April and would highly recommend it.Its about 10 minutes drive to the east of the ROC.Mairead Power is the owner and she will make you feel right at home.Don't be put off by the farmhouse designation as the property is really quite elegant by B&B standards.

Lovejoy,

I agree that Dualla House is lovely and full of antiques. I have stayed there too. It is in the countryside outside Cashel town and the setting is wonderful. But it is a drive into town.

hester,

I emailed Joy's Rockside House last night. Today I had an email back from them. They said there was some problem with the email but it seems to be sorted out now. I would send another email to both of the email addresses that I posted previously.

Have you thought that you may have mis-dialed the phone number to Ireland? That might account for your problems with phoning.

Try again. It will be worth the effort.

bornintheusa, Good to hear you got your reservations at Joy's Rockside. I am confident you will have a great stay there. But when you get back give your own feedback. People here can never get enough reviews.

Where else are you staying?
