ATM PIN Numbers in Italy

Hi, I'm about to become a first-time traveler to Italy and I've really enjoyed reading all of your posts. I'm taking my mother to Rome and Florence in a few weeks. I've read unclear info in the guidebooks about the required length of PIN numbers for ATM cards. My PIN is 4 digits - does anyone know if that will be ok, or should I change it? Thanks!

Hi librarygirl,
Your 4 digit PIN should be fine.

4 digits worked for us. Be sure the card is connected to a checking account; I have read that there is some problem with savings accounts.
