ATM advice, please

I'm leaving this afternoon for Italy and France and I've just had one of those "duh moments".
I wish I had asked this question earlier: When one doesn't read the local language, how does one navigate through the on- screen prompts when attempting to withdraw cash from ATM's?

I can't remember the last time an ATM in France or Italy didn't offer several language options. As slow as they are with some things, here they're ahead of the curve.

You'll have no problem. Hope you have a 4 digit PIN number & sufficient funds in your CHECKING account. Have a great trip.

Hi orleans

>..I have unlimited funds in my checking account.<

I shall be happy to accompany you and help you with navigating all of those very confusing ATMs, restaurant menus, train stations, etc.

You need pay only my expenses.

orleans, sometimes the language prompt is in the form of country flags, so you do need to know what the British flag looks like as that's the one you will need to press to get English prompts.
