Let's hope you DO find good weather. When I was there in Aprt there was a massive cold front moving south out if Russia that lasted 2 weeks. It was freezing! I went south to Bodrum to find some sun and was finally able to get warm. The tulips were beautiful.

Indeed. A friend who was in Istanbul last March said they had rain for the first 3 days then snow on the 4th.
I am fragile when it comes to cold weather but I don't want to miss the opportunity of a little trip... Thinking of getting the ferry from Athens to Crete for another week or so... should be OK as it is one of the most southerly parts of Europe.... Any thoughts Brotherlee?

No one can reassure you I'm afraid, it is a very unpredictable month! That goes for all your suggested destinations.
I have lived in Greece for 8 years, March brings rain, wind, cold, sun, warm, you name it, you could get it!
You say youare fragile in cold weather, how cold do you mean? What we would consider cold here may not be cold to you. I can say it will not be beach weather, maybe for a brisk walk only!
