ATAF BUS FINE
On Saturday morning me and my friend were returning from a party and took the Bus without ticket not being able to get any being in the middle of nowhere without tabaccis ,arriving at destination controllers boarded the bus but I exited before they could control me they got my friend though. I waited for her at the end of the street not wanting to abandon her when the woman notices me and walks over...She was very agressive she reached into my friend's bag to find ID without asking, violation of privacy and is she allowed to fine me when she asked outside of the bus in fact she didn't even ask me for my ticket she assumed.....Not having my id I gave down my name birth date and hotel in Florence. She gave me a ticket to go pay within 5 days. Do I have to pay the fine? The fact that she didn't even ask for a ticket and she was agressive I'm leaving in 2 weeks should I pay it or not? I am only 16. The guy controller was gonna let me go since my friend payed the fine because she had enough of money but the woman insisted....Is it worth paying?

Hey qwerty.
If you are 16, you are well on your way to being an adult, and the adult thing to do is admit you made two mistakes, and pay the fine.
The first mistake was not to think ahead and get a bus ticket earlier in the evening. Understandable, but still a mistake
The second mistake was to try to fool the controller by slipping off the back end of the bus. Maybe if you had faced her and explained the problem, she might have felt you meant to do the right thing.
So now you can do the right thing and pay the fine. Even though the controller also made mistakes, you can only fix yours.

Third mistake was not explaining the situation immediately to the bus driver. By doing this - assuming he allowed you to stay on - you would only have paid the fare and avoided the fine.
It does not surprise me that the controllers take a somewhat aggressive stance as they frequently have to deal with many who are extremely aggressive and evasive so as to avoid paying.
Would you have behaved this way back home?

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
Where I live, Ina famous resort in the US, this kind of thing would get you hauled to the police station, where they would call your parents to come get you. Happy Mom and Dad!
Next morning, you would go before a magistrate or judge who would yell at you and let you go after you paid $100 in court costs. If you don't show, they issue a warrant.
I think you are getting off easy.

Is there a reason why you couldn't buy a ticket from the driver? I know there are places where the busdrivers don't take cash payments. But there are usually ways around it, if you talk to the driver.
Or you could have gone back to the party and asked someone there to help you.
Or, since your friend did have enough Money to pay the fine, why didn't you call a taxi?
