asaptickets.com

I'll be MOVING to Rome in August of 2004 for college. since I'm a college student, I'm looking for the cheapest airfare possible.... I haven't gone to see a travel agent yet, because I wanted to see what i could find on my own. I've checked all of the popular travel sites, and found tickets that ranged from 1400-2200pp. I did an internet search on international travel and found asaptickets.com. I was able to find a roundtrip ticket to Rome for $275pp. does anyone know anything about this site? I'm curious to know if it has a good reputation and if this is a reliable site?? Thanks for all of the help!

Hi angel

I checked the website. You didn't find a $275 ticket. You found a chance to call an 800 number to get a quote on a ticket.

I searched and found the same thing Ira did - it's not offering you that fare for the dates you put in. It's saying that's the lowest fare they offer for that route, but not when.

Also, if I were ever searching for airfare and the site came back after the search with "Congratulations! . . ." I would run the other way.

August is of course the MOST expensive time to go...Having said that, keep looking around and wait till you see something in the $800 range (assumiong you are near a major hub city), then get it.

There are organizations that offer special fares for college students. Someone from your college or university who is working with your program should know about this and be able to direct you to a source. I think one of the organizations is BENAC or maybe it's BUNAC. Try a Google search.
