Arrive Lyon, 3 nights, then Paris-help
We will fly into Lyon on May 29 and will be coming from Pisa, Italy. We will have been in Rome as well.
We have to be in Paris June 1.
We are struggling with where to stay and what to see for those three nights.
Should we stay in Lyon 3 nights? Go to Dijon or Beaune? Chalon sur saone? Any other towns to consider? Grenoble even?
Drive north words Paris and make three different stops?
Can anyone say what you would do with these three days/nights?
Thank you!

Lyon has lots to see. The hill that prays and the hill that works are 2 sprecial areas with lots to do. The silk weavers and passages are interesting and some excellent museums. We enjoyed taking the tram to a newer section and seeing the oainted buildings. Soem very good restaurants and cafes. You will eat really well. I have sone pictures I will post a link for you.

Stay one full day in Lyon, this is a real beautiful city. On your way to Paris stop in Beaune, you can visit there some Reaal good winyards like Chateau Pommard.
Then i would recommend to stay more than 2-3 days in Paris. 1 day is really too short. You have a lot to visit there, and i'm sure you will love it !

If possible, I wouldn't skip Lyon. My late husband became ill there after 2 days and I want to return to finish up. We had planned 3 nights. As Avalon2 says, the food is amazing; the old section is very interesting. I got to the fabric museum but missed the hills and one of the few silk makers left.
If you haven't visited Paris before, however, 7 days would be great there!
Please do a trip report when you return.
