Scarlett, There was a San Diego show in the 50's called the Johnny Downs show.
I was on it once with my brownie troop. I forgot what grade I was in . So I know about early stage fright.

I was a finalist in the 4th grade spelling bee, so my name was in the local paper. At the time I thought that was just too cool, being in the paper. I lost the spelling bee when I misspelled the word "potato." Imagine my horror years later when Dan Quayle misspelled the same word....

I'm in/was in my university catalog. A photo was taken when I was a junior. I'm kneeling down talking to some friends. The photographer came up and asked to take our photo, no releases were signed. I know it appeared in at least 3 catalogs but I doubt it still runs.

I was also in a "Welcome to town" video produced by one of my professors. I think I earned 5 bonus points by sitting at a table in the Holiday Inn bar. It was made for corporate recuiting. It was in the big-hair 80s so I doubt that film is still being used.

If anyone has read "Me speak pretty one day" by David Sedaris, he has a chapter where he writes about appearing on the "Uncle Paul" show. Uncle Paul had a kids tv show in Raleigh, NC in the 60s and 70s. I was very envious of him for appearing on the show. I always wanted to be on the show, but never was.

:Ryan They have two stewarts for the President over see the prepration and I make several plates and they choose and random which plate he gets. Also they tell you in advance his dietary guide lines and what he likes . They also so brnig his own eating utensils. When I cooked for Prince Andrew you could not use garlic in anything or for anyone at his table So i guess Emeril will never cook for Prince Anderew.

I once asked a question on Fodors about a Carlton Mickle photograph, and he answered it himself!

thomthumb, LOL. Or so you think, anyway. How can any of us be sure who's really who in this virtual world?

This has been a fascinating thread, Ke1th. Being naturally curious, I'm dying to know more about some of the posts on here, but I guess I'll have to live with the mystery.

OMG, I can't stop laughing at some of these!

I was a child "model" from about age 7-10 (mid - late 80's). Nothing glamourous like department store modeling though... private school uniforms! Yes, ugly plaid jumpers and skirts. Got teased quite a bit about that as a child, it was not seen as "cool".

This is for Garnisa: You said you were on Bozo's Circus in 1966, did it happen to be around Dec. 11,12 or 13?
My husband was there and I have been trying to find tapes of the episode he was in. He was picked and had to draw a picture of Santa Claus and he won a racetrack set. Thanks, Lisa

Atheletic Fame - I finished ahead of Bill Rogers in the Cherry Blossom Ten Miler. He was about 3 miles ahead of me when he dropped out and that helped A LOT.

I wrote a technical book that almost no one reads but is in lots of libraries.

Lisa, I think I was on in November, maybe December because it was cold and I had just turned five. Sorry, that's all I know and we have no tape of the episode.
