Are Foods Pasteurized in Italy?

Pasteurization requires heating food to a certain temp for a certain amount of time, obviously this cannot be done with all foods. It also can be the irradiation of foods with gamma rays, which raises another issue , whichis very muchon the minds of a large percentage of the population. I'm sure what can be pasteurized ,is . Avoid what you think may harm you, but Italy is certainly one of the more progressive counties and I don't think you should have a problem. <BR>You can even have problems going from state to state in the US, with all the e. Coli and salmonella infections , and other things we hear about happening here, I don't think this should really worry you unless you have an underlying condition which can't be ignored. <BR>For some reason Americans think we are number 1 in everything , we are not . Millions of people are surviving nicely in Italy and elsewhere, i wonder if they worry as much as we when they travel to our country
