We leave March 30 and will be gone two weeks. We are going to London and Paris and hope to fit a visit to Giverny into the Paris portion of the trip. I have been to Paris a few times, but have never made it to Giverny, so I am excited to hopefully be able to see it in early spring. I just had a passport scare last week (couldn't find it), but found it the other evening - so now I can relax a bit and just look forward to the trip.

Headed for Paris April 9-22 with daughter-in-law and 11-year-old granddaughter (her first trip out of the US). I can't wait to see her reactions; I am hoping this will instill a love of travel in her so she can wheel me around in my dotage. (next year perhaps?) It thrills me that working folks can enjoy what used to be reserved for the wealthy. However, it did take me 40 years to get back between Paris trip #1 and #2; this will be #4. Taking this trip is far more fun than throwing my money down the stock market.

I'm leaving April 7 for a 1-week trip to Ireland (it sounds kind of tame after some of the other itineraries posted above). It's my "test trip" for solo travel - if I enjoy it as much as I expect, I'll be expanding my horizons to the rest of Europe in the future. (On my previous Ireland trip, I went a few days ahead of my husband and loved it. This is the first time I'm doing an entire trip on my own, though.) BTW - the reason I'm doing this solo is because my husband has discovered he's not very into European travel (prefers tropical). So now I'll be enjoying twice as many vacations - tropical ones with the hubby and Europe on my own! Thankfully I get much more vacation time than he does!!
