I tried looking up recommendations for apartment rental agencies in Madrid and only found one, mostly recommendations in Barcelona.

Does anyone have reliable agencies they've used, and even better if anyone has any recs for actual apartments in the Puerto del Sol/Puerto Mayor/Plaza Santa Ana area.

I used them in November and was very happy with their service and the apartment. We rented an apartment on Calle Mayor. The apartment was very nicely furnished and had a good supply of basics. It was also clean. I would recommend them and would use them again.

We used Spain Select in March 2009. It was an apt in Old Madrid , at Plaza de la Paja. It was fine, as represented. My only complaint was that we had to wait for the representative to show up with the key, not a big deal.

Here I go again-I find them expensive and always use Homelidays and niumba.They are listings from individual owners and more reasonable in price.
