Apartment in Venice
We very recently stayed in a apartment with Venice Rentals, their site is: venicerentals.com, it was wonderful! The owners Denise (American) and Maurizio (Venetian)were extremely helpful and their service was superb. They made reservations for us in theatres and restaurants, hired a great English speaking babysitter for us and were just like our own concierge.
One night we locked ourselves out of our apartment at 2:30 a.m., they came over without any fuss, in fact, with smiles on their faces, to let us in and they had a 40 min. trip to get there! We will have to send flowers for that one.

The apartment was gorgeous, bright and with views from everywhere and the terrace, of a historical palace dating back to 1490, it truly was an excellent value. We paid in US dollars $1200 for 7 nights, (we were 2 adults plus a 6 yr. old son) you can't beat that in any hotel and we had 1000 sqare feet of space!
We were also 3 min. behind S. Marco Square and minutes to everything in the city.

We ate at an excellent restaurant that Denise recommended, Do Forni. It is designed like an Orient Express train. When we mentioned Denise's name, they offered us free desserts or wine! We had a fabulous meal and the service was impeccable, a bit expensive (we spent $80 per person) but well worth it.

Again their site is: venicerentals.com or I think you could call them in Venice at: 041-526-8555.

Ciao, Tina

Yes Barbara, it would be perfect for 2 couples. It had 2 bedrooms both with queen beds. One was an orthopedic bed which was perfect for us, very firm. There were 2 bathrooms, one had a tub and shower the other just the sink toilet. It was very nice and bright as it was full of windows. I think its actually ideal for 2 couples. When are you going? If you go in the spring you will be able to utilize the beautiful terrace more than I did.

Enjoy Venice.
Tina
