Any recent London High Teas?

Has anyone been to any afternoon teas in London in 2022 and can give some recommendations or note if overrated? Looking for recent information. All price ranges please. Thank you in advance.

I think you mean afternoon tea. No recent experience but generally overrated.

I don't think they're over rated at all -- I love a posh afternoon tea. I usually book a 4:30 or 5 PM sitting and that way it serves as both lunch and an early dinner - I also usually have a glass of champagne too. Depends on how posh you want to be -- my last one was in the Thames Foyer at the Savoy back in early December and it was really lovely. The Ritz is probably the granddaddy and the room is wonderful, but there are some I've enjoyed as much or more including at Brown's, Fortnum & Mason, Claridges, and at the Dorchester. The food is good to outstanding at all of these. Brown's is probably the 'homiest'.

But then again, most every nice hotel and all the posh department stores do a fine afternoon tea.

I may be wrong (does happen once in a while ) but the way you worded your post -- I do suspect you might be collecting info for a blog or website and not actually planning a visit yourself -- if so, that really isn't what Fodors is for . . .

Our last time traveling was Dec 2019. to London for Christmas, right before we knew about COVID. We had a beautiful tea at Fortnum and Mason. Two shared a savory offering and two shared sweet ones. Elegant, beautiful service ,delicious food and teas. Pricey but a good value for what we were served.
