Antiquing in Ireland?

Does Ireland have flea markets, antique shops, boot sales, etc. like in England?
Planning a fall trip; still trying to decide where to go. Have been to Scotland and England, but not to Ireland.

Yes it does.

Boot sales are most often held on Sundays (Kilkenny and Fethard, Co. Tipperary, have well-established ones).

Antique stores pop up here and there.

I've been to a few Auction Houses with consignment areas as well.

Local tourist offices will have details.

Car boot sales are increasing here, with many antiques etc;also Farmers' markets.. all usually on Saturdays now. Letterkenny has a huge car boot sale every Saturday.. Dunkineely near Donegal every Bank Holiday Monday... many, many more.. We sell at many Farmers' markets; Donegal Town has a Food and Craft Fair in the Diamond, the third Sat of every month. Sligo every Saturday morning at the ITT.... Carrick every Thursday..Many, many more... Mail me maybe; there are web sites but they are not always kept updated. But these are all growing fast now....

If you're in Dublin, visit Francis Street in Dublin 8 - lots of gorgeous antique shops.

Rathkeale (Co. Limerick)is famous for having many antique shops and for many of its community being from the travelling community.(Not the kind posting on this forum!)

Most town and villages around the country (Ennis, Limerick- Ellen Street) would have a number of anique shops.

I've seen flea market-type merchandise at the Market in Ennis (Co. Clare) and the one in NewCastlewest (Co. Limerick). They are basically Farmers Markets and are 1-day-a-week things. There's an outdoor market in Galway City where vendors sell look-alike Aran Fisherman's sweaters made in Nepal.
