Anthony Bourdain - "Taking BritRail to Edinburgh"

That is what Anthony Bourdain said on a repeat I saw last night of his tremendous IMO travel/cooking show - that "I took BritRail to Edinburgh".

Well Anthony there has not been any BritRail trains ever IMK though there was British Rail trains for a long time before privitisation erased that name from trains say a few decades ago.

Ao Anthony BritRail is so so passe.

He probably went to Edinburg, then over to Glascow before flying British Air.

You do mean, correctly, the Channel Tunnel? But i'd best his best quiche on him calling it the Chunnel as most Americans and some British sources do.

Yes, I was incorrectly using it to continue the theme of over-improperly-used travel terms.

Oh annyh - I thought your comments were aimed at me because of--- let's say a bit of debate on several threads over the use of this term! Sorry.

"And when did he take the Chunnel back to Paris?"

That would be after going to the "Cotswalds" and "Stonehedge", stopping of in London to shop in "Herrods".

at least they won't ask to see London Bridge because we all know it's in Arizona, Lake Havasu City after we bought that ancient historic span from London a few decades ago!

Bourdain's based in the Big Apple. He wouldn't make that kind of mistake if he lived in Frisco or the Big Easy.

He would also shop in Coven Gardens.
He would arrive at the Chunnel station St. Panceas and possibly visit Trafalgar and Buckingham
He would also wonder if he could get to his hotel in Gloucester via Liverpool station
