Antalya - day trips
Hi
We have a full free day in Antalya ... can anyone recommend a 1/2 - full day trip from Antalya (apart from Perge & Aspendos which we will be visting).
Is Fethiye too far away to to in one day, we are travelling in late April.
Thanks

Termessos! It's spectacularly situated at the top of one of the Gulluk National Park peaks, and is one of the most unique ancient cities in all of the Mediterranean. Be sure to head up beyond the lower city to see the hundreds of tumbling stone sarcophagi. You feel like you're in a lost land of the giants. Photos of this area can be found here:

by scrolling about 2/3rds down the icons on the right. It will take a few moments to load.

any reccomendations for hotels in Antalya? I'm really interested in the Termessos ruins. Not sure how long we should say in Antalya or should we stay elsewhere. Have a car so am a bit concerned about driving in the town. Any suggestions welcome

Sinan, if I send you an e-mail, would you be willing to help me find a specific piece of information on Turkish language websites? I'm trying to find current contact information for a person (she's a friend of a deceased friend, a Turkish MD who has published a lot and is involved in many publicized projects, and appears in many websites in both English and Turkish). I found a few e-mail addresses for her, but they are on English-language sites that may not be so current. If you can help, I'll explain further in e-mail. Thanks.

Thanks. I figured out how to reach this person. I actually guessed and made up an e-mail address based on her first initial and last name and the @ address of the university where she teaches. All the e-mail addresses I'd found for her on sites in English were no longer current, but I had enough surrounding information based on her publications and information on the Cerrahpasa site to make a few good guesses. I reached her and got a reply confirming that she's who I thought she was based on her name, so now I will communicate further. Thanks for being willing to help.
