Annual Call for Fodorite European GTG in September-Barcelona & Positano
I will be traveling to Barcelona solo on August 30th and will be there for 7 days. On Sept. 7th I am meeting up with a friend and will be in Positano for 9 days. If anyone's travels coincide with these dates and cities, I would love to plan a GTG. I have met many of my fellow fodorites this way and hope to continue this year. Also, if any of the Barcelona members are around it would be great to have someone to grab dinner or drinks with!

Hi Boulder, yes it is fun! I have had gtg's planned for the last 3 years I have been in Italy and have met several fodorites this way. My usual way to start off the evening in Positano is with a bellini at the American Bar terrace in the Buca di Bacco hotel. Does that work for you and your wife? Also, I don't know if you are aware that La Notte Bianca is on the 7th & 8th and this is a very fun and festive party all over Italy including Positano with performances at the beach and various stands up and down the main stretch of road (I was there for it last year).

No movie stars...I live in LA! Boulder, how about Sat the 8th @ 7? My friend Matteo is one of the bartenders and he makes the best bellinis with fresh peach juice, I can't wait to be on the terrace sipping one.

Sorry we missed you in Positano. We went to Ravello that day and the bus we were counting on to take us back down to Amalfi didn't arrive and we missed the ferry we were planning to take back to Positano. As a result we got back too late to make the GTG. I hope you had a good time and a great trip.
