Are you plagued with annoying pop-up advertisements on this web page? We are. Some hotel/resort chain inserts their ads, blocking out Fodors web site and our "back" icon disappears. We have to return to square one and start all over again with the world-wide-wait. Can this kind of annoyance be eliminated?

I've not had this experience. I get the occassional Embassy Suites ad, but I just close that window and keep going. I say if the revenue helps keep this board free, why not.

Me too, I sometimes get that Embassy Suites pop-up. Other times I get a beach ball type of pop-up and the screen turns a light shade of blue also. It slows down getting into the talk forum.

I have a wonderful program called AdSubtract. It blocks most popups and even banner ads. It does a lot of other great stuff, like cleaning out tempoary internet files, unwanted cookies, and clears history. Be advised if you get it, you will be denied access to some sites while it is running. Simply click on the icon in the taskbar to turn it off and on. Good luck.<BR><BR>http://adsubtract.com/
