Anniversary Weekend in Paris
Bikerscott and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary in Paris last weekend and thought I would share our pictures and restaurants.
We usually stay in the 11th but I have always wanted to try Le Marais so we booked into Hotel Jeanne D'Arc http://hoteljeannedarc.com/?lang=en a budget hotel. It has a great location and while we liked it our hearts are definitely in the 11th. So much for change haha!
We ate lunch at Au Petit Sud Ouest by the Eiffel Tower . We enjoyed fois gras and duck confit and cassoulet. Delicious! But if you don't like duck this is not the place for you as it's basically the only thing on the menu! Luckily we love it!
Dinner was at the michelin starred Cobea http://cobea.fr/en/ and was very good. Their fish dishes in particular were fantastic! Definitely recommend.
Sunday was relaxed...mainly walking and taking photos. A very filling crepe for lunch was the perfect thing. Dinner was at 110 Taillevent and was fabulous. http://taillevent.com/les-110-de-taillevent-brasserie/
Of course we spent many an hour relaxing over wine.
All in all it was a great way to spend our anniversary.
I have posted 60+ photos at the end of my set of Paris here http://www.flickr.com/photos/pug_gir...7636716043473/
Hope you enjoy!

You have a great eye for capturing appealing shots. your theme of lovers kissing on your anniversary trip is prescient. Nice!
I'm bookmarking Cobea in the 14th as that is where we are staying come spring. How special is that private alcove for 500E!
Thanks for sharing. I liked seeing Paris winter scenes. Mary

Thanks for sharing. We are going to les 110 Taillevent in a few weeks....glad you enjoyed it.
We tried the 7th last trip but really missed the Odeon area of the 6th, so I know what you mean about trying out a new area.
Always enjoy both of your posts and CONGRATS on the wedding anniversary.

Thank you so much
We love photography, so glad you like the pics! The ones in that link are mine, but will tell bikerscott to add his link to the thread tomorrow. My camera is a nikon D5200 and I love it...highly recommend it.
How can one not love Paris? We could visit every week and not get bored!

Great report and congratulations! Tracy and I will celebrate our 20th anniversary in Paris next year and I'm scoping out restaurants. How are the prices at Au Petit Sud Ouest? The menu looks interesting. Yes, we like duck.

Thanks so much everyone!
Prices at Sud Ouest weren't too bad! Our starters of fois gras were I think around €10-12 each and they were big portions. There are cheaper and way more expensive fois gras options. I think our mains were around €20, maybe slightly less. And we had a bottle of wine. I believe the total came to around €85.
Jealous of all of you with plans to go back so soon. I think we are heading back next June with Bikerscotts parents.
