Andalusia weather in late January, early February?
Thinking of going for 1 week.
Went to Madrid this time of the year once and for the most part it was dry but overcast.
How much rain is likely in the usual places like Granada and Seville?

It used to be fairly easy to predict winter weather patterns for Southern Spain, but the last few years things have been highly unpredictable. The main problem has been heavy rain, much more than one would expect from previous years. It also has been quite cold, with snow falling in many places for the first time in years if not decades. If you are lucky you may have bright crips days ideal for sightseeing, but if unlucky, it may rain for days on end with some serious flooding in places, and cold nights shivering in accommodation with inadequate heating - central heating is quite rare, often the only heating is through simple electric bars.
So take any climate prediction with a pinch of salt, be prepared for anything, and dress in layers.

Based on past 15 years statistics:
Sevilla: Daily highs between 14°C and 19°C. Average 6 hours average sun pr. day and two days with rainfall pr. week.

Granada, somewhat cooler, especially at night when it sometimes gets below freezing:
Daily highs between 11°C and 17°C. Average 5 hours sun pr. day and two days with rainfall pr. week.

Normal with snow around Granada in the winter months. Excellent skiing in close by Sierra Nevada. http://www.idealspain.com/Pages/Places/SierraNevada.htm

Meant to say that I would fly into Madrid, rent a car for a week, then drive to Granada and then all the way west to Sevilla and then drive back to Madrid before flying out.
Snow on the roads around Granada would curtail this plan, cutting a lot of actual sightseeing time.
I guess the buses from Madrid to Granada are equipped for the snow so that may be an option.
Or maybe better to plan a visit another time, probably extend it to 2 weeks instead of 1 and be able to visit more of the smaller villages.

The route to Granada from Madrid (A4 and A44) only goes over a moderate pass as you enter Andalucia and it's rare for the snow to block that road. Only if you explore the higher reaches of Sierra Nevada east of Granada will snow be a serious problem for driving.
I did something similar, but a one-way drive from Seville, via Cordoba and Toledo to Madrid in January, and it was fine. Little traffic, crisp blue sky, and temperatures around 50F/10C during the day, dipping to around 40F/5C at night.

Honestly if I only had a week I'd skip the rental car and just use public transport if you plan on visiting Seville and Granada. Having the car in the cities will be more of a nuisance than a benefit.
