Maribel !

hi.... i'm sorry didn't know you,ve been there before.... was under the imression that you're making a first trip.....still surprised you know about Casares.... not too many people do.
i knew about it from one of the fodorites,i think it's the best kept secret in andalucia. how did you get to know about it.... you're not from spain...are you?
like you said the drive was very impressive.... spectacular view.
unfortunately, when i was there, i ran out of memory, on my digital camera, so i had to get some postcards instead. i scanned them, i would be more than happy to email them to you. we stayed at a beautiful hotel on top of the mountain with a spectacular view near Gaucin .Hotel salitre in algatocin
by the way, did you get a chance to see the caves in Nerja?... that was an other spectacular sight, no doubt about it
Frank

Frank,
I've been poking around the Andalusian white towns for some time now. I'm planning a month's stay for next spring to do more exploring. I'm intrigued by the Hotel El Salitre (had not heard of it before)-just looked at the website. It seems quite nice and well priced. I'm also considering El Nobu, which comes highly recommended by a Fodor friend and Cortijo Puerto el Negro, recommended by British friends- both in Gaucin. I'd love to see your pictures and hear more about El Salitre and any of your other discoveries in the area.
Thanks.
