How do you do the smileys? Besides the keystrokes do you need a special program running to convert the keystrokes to smileys? I have not seen this subject clearly explained on this forum. That is program + keystrokes + conversion method. Thanks in advance.

Hi Betsy,
thanks for the link to the Smiley Chart. One piece is still missing from the puzzle. I know the keystrokes for a particular smiley (example
for the green face) however, how are they converted? If I key in
why does it not change? What more is needed to render them?
Thanks Again.

Just had to try it. Also glad to get some explanation about these new smiley faces. I'll have to experiment a little more...
Hmmm...If you preview your reply, it converts the type into signs and then retains them when you retrieve the post to edit. That's kind of cool. It lets you check the symbols out without actually having to post (and make an idiot of yourself).

I've heard tell of this in myth and legend, but, have never seen it myself...
Press down the alt key and with it pressed down, on the numeric keypad enter 0128 then release the alt key. Remember to have the numlock on while entering the keys
I can't test, because I use Linux...
Does it work?
