Amsterdam sites admission fees

How much should I expect to pay to enter Amsterdam museums and sites?

You should get a guide book (there are many great ones) and find out.

Just returned last week - Anne Frank House was ~ $7 (with 2.5 gilders to the USD$ conversion). Van Gogh museum was about $8. Both were well worth it. Heck - you can't see a movie here in the states for that cheap!

With all due respect to Smallsal, though guide books are often very useful. Most guidebooks are written the season BEFORE they are released.
Consequently the admission fees etc. are often not current, and have nearly always gone up.
It makes very good sense to second reference with people who have recently gone.

With all due respect to Thyra, is it really important a price of addmision if we plan to see some museum? $8.00 for Van Gogh's is not cheap but I think that most of us would pay even more if we had to. And all travel guides give us an idea how much is it approximately. But I see you point Thyra although it never occured to me before that it may be important part of planning a trip. But that is how I think not Regi and maybe it is important to him/her. So I just learned something. I travel to learn and I learn to travel

With absolutely no respect to smallsal, it's an important factor if one is on a budget, as many people are.

Example, I wanted to to the 17 mile drive (TM) but I didnt realise a) they charged for it and b) they charged so much - so I didnt bother.

If you plan to visit several museums,it is much cheaper and convenient to buy a museum pass, good for one year and all museums in Netherland.
