Amsterdam hotels

3 of us will be traveling to Amsterdam in June and would love some suggestions on hotels. We want to be in the middle of town, around the major sites and would like to spend about $100 a night. We are not looking for anything great, just clean and safe. Thanks for your help!

I bid on Priceline for an Amsterdam hotel in Oct and won the Nh Amsterdam Centre in the Museum Quarter for $72 per night. It was fine, obviously near the museums and a short walk or tram ride from everything else.

Mrs Bilbo swears by the Brouwer, very friendly not far from station and red light section. Trams nearby to all sites

Hotel Brouwer is not near the RLD. It is the other side of the Damrak, on the Singel, in a very nice area.

previous post is correct, Hotel Brouwer is no way near RLD. If you want to stay in a canal house this is the perfect place. Here is an URL with a photo and more detail.

Botel is cheaper than Brouwer, but further away from the centre

Here are some cheaper options

Enjoy your stay (even though it is still a long way off)

yes you are right not near RLD, Mrs Bilbo somewhat easily confused by a little "window sitting"
