Amsterdam hotel under $200?
I have decided to go to Amsterdam in April 2007. I realize it's a little early to book a hotel, but since this will be the busy tulip season, I want to get something in place within the next few months. I'd like a hotel that is fairly central (no more than 15-20 minute walk to Dam Square, Ann Frank House, other sights). It doesn't have to be fancy, but I insist on clean, comfortable and safe. Elevator would be nice, but not mandatory. I'd like to stay under $200/night/double. Any suggestions???

I just stayed at Hotel Estherea last week (http://www.hotels.nl/amsterdam/estherea/) It was beautiful and very centrally located (no more than 15 minutes to the train station, museums, or the dam). I had a great rate at 99 Euro for a double, but I think even regular rates are probably less than $200. Good luck!
