Amsterdam, Edinborough, or London?
Hi, Im the one going to Norwich this summer. What I was wondering though- is it cheaper (generally) to fly to Amsterdam, Edinborough, or London? (I'm going to Norwich from there).Or is there somewhere even less expensive?I'm trying to get the cheapest plane ticket possible. i'm sure you can all relate!
Thanks, Candace

It depends on where you're flying from. I live in St. Paul, where Northwest is based, so they have lots of flights to Amsterdam and London, not as many to Edinborough. And Amsterdam is usually cheaper. But factor in the time it will take to travel back and forth. A couple of years ago we flew into Glasgow and out of London, and it wasn't any more expensive than in and out of the same city.

Edinburgh will always cost more because it's the smallest market. Depending what city you are departing from, London or Amsterdam will be your best choices. Amsterdam will usually win out because it is a major European hub. You must also consider the cost and convenience of ground transport. Travelling through the chunnel carries a premium rail cost so that might hurt the London comparison.

Hi, I am having same dilema. Called this date to 1/800 LOW AIRFARE AND 1/800 FLY FOR LESS. They said all low fares to Amsterdam sold out but still available to London for $606 RT on TWA. Need to investigate cost of going to Amsterdam from London. Think ferry is cheapest way to go. If you hear more let me know. Thanks
