I'll be watching and hoping it will be more interesting than the last race. I'm glad they've gone back to couples rather than the family theme with four people.

They're starting from the amphitheater at Red Rocks, near Denver. I was born in Denver and lived there until I was married many years ago. Will be interesting for me to see parts of the area, many of which I'm sure I won't recognize.

Let the travels begin!

Colorado? I hope they spend some time there, rather than just heading to the airport and out of the country.

Keith, that was last season. I'll bet they get them on a plane and out of the US as fast as possible.

Does anyone know where they'll be going? Also, don't u guys think CBS needs to do a better editing job with the show. I feel like the contestants spend way too much time at airports. I want to see locales not airports.

Yes, the editing could be better.

The premise is a physical traveling race with tasks and detours etc. The last team to arrive is eliminated USUALLY. (There are traditionally two non-elimination weeks.) And after many weeks of travel and many destinations, the team that arrives first at the final week's destination wins a million $.

The down side of the show is manufactured and/or dysfunctional ire between and within teams. That I don't want to watch. I want to watch the means/ways they get there and the places themselves.

I loved that Peru episode when they were going through those unique S shaped mountain roads that resembled sculpted snakes stretching endlessly before them.

Hope there's lots of that quality, and less of the fear factor food quotient.

Yes, Phil is still there.

I think the editing is pretty good. It's a race, not a travelogue. You know the competitors are there for much longer than the few minutes we actually see. It's supposed to give you a better understanding of why they get pretty cranky sometimes.

I teach on tues nights. (sniffle) And I don't have TIVO. I guess I'll have to be all '80s and like, put it on a videotape.

8PM Central

JJ5 I watch it for the same reasons you do, but that wouldn't bring them a large enough audience (or a young enough one) to stay on the air.

The people not getting along is what brings a big enough audience that we get to see the show.

Hey great---it's back!
My daughter (15) is begging me to do this race with her. But the thought of spending so much time at airports is just a total downer for me. I'd just want to spend two weeks in the first international destination that we hit.

It sure looks like they are adding a lot more excitement this episode. Last season's was boring and they must have lost a ton of viewers....

Hey Dejavu, I'm also out tonight so I'm doing the 80s videotape thing as well ! (But then, I enjoyed the 80s) Join the club.
