Joan, Since you'll be staying in Bloomsbury I thought I'd recommend a lovely little restaurant that would be perfect for lunch or dinner. It's the Blue Door Bistro (guess what color the door is?) and it's at The Montague Hotel, which is lovely.

My friend and I had lunch there before visiting the British Museum and the wait staff was extremely courteous and attentive. We had an excellent lunch that rivaled our meal at River Cafe, for only a fraction of the price.

I love to travel alone, but beware: once the bug has bitten you, you're in trouble!
