Two memorable visits for us were Vignoble Klur (https://www.klur.net/en/) - a tiny organic vineyard near Kayserberg and the Cave de Ribeauville https://www.vins-ribeauville.com/en/ - the local wine cooperative. Both had excellent wines and very friendly and knowledgable hosts.

Gosh, it depends on your objectives. Do you want to visit wineries that basically sell at E50 or E8 a bottle, how much you want to travel and the type of wines. Also how do you want to travel, I mainly travel by bike so not sure exactly you plan to do this.

The Coop at Ribeauville is a big commercial venture and as long as you visit when coaches are not filling it then it can be good. Certainly, a good place to drop by.

If you click back on my name about 4 years you'll find what we did when we took 12 people on a tour.

So, we are a group of seven, traveling by car from our rental home near Colmar in late September - early October. Modestly priced wines for daily consumption would be our choice. Thanks for asking!

Let's take Eguisheim as an example. Most of the producers are small so the visit to a cellar is poor.

Go to the town website and see if there are any tours of the vineyards or of wineries on that day. Generally, the wineries are small so a pretty dull visit but the vineyards can be worth a tour. https://www.tourisme-eguisheim-rouff...over/Town.html most weekend afternoons there is a tour, but note it will be hot in them-there vines.
If that does not do it for you a walk around the town may well show a tour being available. Depending on the time of year there may be many or just a few.
Now there are also wine tasting options, The "Eguisheim-Colmar" tasting shop is basically a Monsieur Wolf who is a great marketer and a reasonable winemaker. Easy to shop at and a few Euro lets you see around the cellars.
You might also like Zink for their fizz (better than Wolf's) or easy-drinking to medium price still wines at Bruno Sorg.

You'll find others open as you wander around.
Behaviour; now-a-days this has to be explained to some people. If you take up the staff time/taste wine and they do not charge you then buy something, it is better if it is wine, but if you don't like the wine then buy a corkscrew etc. If Eguisheim is no good try the coop in Turkheim which is pretty good.
