Alsace train & bus

Hi!

I want to make a day trip from Strasbourg to Riquewhir & Colmar. Can I take a TER train from Strasbourg to Ribeauville and then change bus to Riquewhir? Any bus time-table?

I know there is Alsa + CUS day departmental panel tickets at euro 21, is this suitable from Strasbourg to Colmar? Where can I buy it?

Thanks!

train schedules at www.voyages-sncf.com

http://strasbourg.angloinfo.com/info.../21/busses.asp

check the various bus company web sites on second link.

the Ribeauville train station could if i recall right be some distance from town - bus would go right into town. Perhaps I do not recall right?

Hi ech,

The train station for Ribeauville is in Guémar - about 5 km away.

You can take the train from Strasbourg to Colmar. The Gare is about 1 km South of the Unterlinden Museum.

You can get the bus schedules from the Colmar bus depot to Riquewihr at http://www.vialsace.eu/

http://www.vialsace.eu/ftp/FR_docume...ire_092011.pdf shows the fare from Colmar to Riquewihr to be 3.5E.

Enjoy your visit.

In Colmar there is a scale-model reproduction of the Statue of Liberty - done by the same studios I understand that did the original now gracing New York Harbor.

PalenQ I saw the model in the 70s as it was taken on tour through France. I saw it in Honfleur. I bet they can't take the NY one on tour. Strange I never saw it in Colmar a couple of years ago, where is it and when did it get there?

You can visit in Colmar Bartholdi's museum (the French sculptor who designed the Liberty statue)
