Gucci store

Has anyone visited the Gucci store in Florence, Italy? Were the prices reasonable?

Oddly enough, Gucci is cheaper in the US than in Europe.

Wow, from 99 cent stores to Gucci! Quite a stretch. Yes, Gucci is cheaper in the USA.

Gucci is cheaper in Europe if you head up to the Foxtown mall in Mendrisio, Switzerland. Chartered busloads of Italians come up every week-end to find Italian and French designer bargains (I have found first-quality [made in Italy] bags from Prada and Ferragamo for about half of the U.S. price)

I prefer Ferragamo, Prada and Loro Piana to Gucci, but to each his own.

Here's how you can join a shopping tour to Foxtown or another designer outlet mall:

Hi FoFoBT, thanks for your comments. The tour leaves from Milan (on my bucket list but not at this time. We will be in Rome. Have you heard of the outlets below?
