Hi, this year we are planninga vacation in Aix-en-Provence and would like to visit the lovely town of Lourmarin.
Unfortunately we haven't got our driver's license yet and were wondering if the town is accessible by bus or train from Aix.

a couple of years ago we toured Provence using public transport staying in Lourmarin for a week. There was a limited bus service between Lourmarin and Aix, you have to change in Pertuis, see timetable on this web site www.beyond.fr/travel/bus06.html
I can only find the Lourmarin/Pertuis times, you should be able to pick up Pertuis/Aix timetable in Aix. You may find timings difficult for a day visit. We also had a day trip Aix to Marseille, there is a very regular fast bus service. Hope this is useful, you will love provence, Alison
