Rozzy

In July, we took The Airport Shuttle from our hotel to Charles de Gaulle. We would happily do it again. Everything went very smoothly.

Airport Shuttle: http:www.airportshuttle. fr/ E-mail: [email protected] Toll-free from U.S.: (888) 426-2705 Tel: 0145385572 Fax: 0143213567. Visa, MC. Hrs.: 6am-8pm. 1st pickup for the airport is 4am and the last departure from the airport is 8pm. All the staff speak English. When you arrive at the airport, remember to call their toll-free number 0-800-505-610 before you collect your luggage. This gives their driver time to get to the pickup point before you go through customs. Cost 125F pp or 95F pp for 2 or more. Children ages 3-12 at 1/2 price. Their 8-seat buses can be reserved for a total cost of 650F. They usually make 4 stops in Paris, however, they try to arrange the stops close to each other to avoid having to take the passengers all over Paris before they get to their hotel. Any problems, contact Judy
Nguyen or Mark Harris.

Bon voyage

Used this service from our hotel to CDG in June. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. When we made our reservations over the internet with them, they requested us to reconfirm 48 hours before the pickup which we did. They speak excellent English.

The service I used has this site: http://www.paris-anglo.com/clients/ashuttle.html
and this phone number
0 800 50 56 10 after arrival in Paris.
I think it is the same outfit as the one that traveler listed.
However, the prices that pop up on the web page are listed at 89 ff per person for two or more going to the same place.
It worked out ok. A slight wait.
But we got to our hotel before we could get in the room. Our driver was not all that fluent in English.

Two of us arriving in Paris at 6.00a.m. on a Saturday morning. How does the cost of the shuttle at approx. 180FF for the two of us compare with a taxi at that time on a Saturday morning? Will the shuttle deliver us direct to the hotel or will we still have to struggle with luggage for any distance?

The Paris airport shuttle mentioned above worked great our last two visits. They carry you to the hotel doorstep, put your bags on the curb. The price is at least half a cab fare (last time we took a cab from 15th to CDG, it was over 300ff). Not sure about smoking, might be the fellow passengers who object. Here is a tip to avoid confusion I experienced the 1st time - when you call upon arrival at CDG you don't need a phone card or coins, but you MUST push a little button on the phone that is labeled something like "sans carte" in order for the call to complete - otherwise it just never rings or you get the weird 'busy' signal. It is the little things that count!
