Sorry, martusia =- I meant to suggest that you hunt further using the links already provided the OP. No one can tell you exactly what date the best fares are in effect. It is a "hunter-gatherer" world when searching for fares. What one person found yesterday may not be available today - but something better might be. The sites above are usually productive.
One thing many users of 1800flyeurope.com have noted is that after checking the website, you should call them - they are noted for being helpful and for coming up with great fares.

Delta and Air France had some great sales this past spring. Delta had a $550 RT from NYC for several weeks. I booked when it went up to $650 (mid-May). But during those weeks of checking back, the fair would usually be low, then occasionally jump up over $1000.
If I were planning for spring, I'd check back about 8 weeks before intended departure.

Well, it's done. Have booked airfare from SAN (San Diego)-CDG (Paris) for Mar 18-26, 2008. Yes, Easter week. The cost RT including all taxes and fees was $753pp. I'm sure I could have waited for airfare to drop hopefully in the next few weeks but all the good deals originate in either LAX or New York. Once airfare from San Diego to either of those cites is calculated the price exceeds $753.
Phew, what a relief it is to have this under my belt. Now I can start itinerary planning!!!!

I purchased when Air Tahiti Nui had a sale in July...3-22 thru 3-31 LAX to CDG for $714pp. I had signed up for e-mail notification of lower fares..it was a one day sale.
Has anyone had experience with Air Tahiti?
Aloha,
Nancy
