It is a standard lounge. I think the star alliance lounge is nicer, there are larger areas to spread out and it has an outdoor area to get "fresh air" and smoke.
But then again the lounges are better than sitting with the masses paying for booze and food, so I wouldn't complain if I had to use the AF lounge instead. I'm just happy there is one good thing about CO joining the Star Alliance - a better lounge.

Which terminal? AF has lounges in each wing of 2F, one in the main 2E terminal, one in the satellite 2E terminal, one in 2D, and one in 2G.
In general, they are okay, but not really that special. The ones in 2E are the best of the bunch, but the 2F and 2D lounges are fine, as well (haven't tried the 2G lounge). In general, the AF lounges tend to be very quiet and they seem to offer a lot of private areas.
The drink selection is pretty good and is self-serve. Food is limited to relatively substantial snacks. Enough to hold you over, but not necessarily enough to replace a meal.
