Ahhh...the excitement of a new Italy Guidebook in the mail
Just received my Fodors Italy 2007 from Amazon...I tore into it with giddy excitement! This is the first Italy only book we've got for our very full travel shelf on the bookshelf. I can't wait to curl up with a mug of hot chocolate and read it front to back, planning for trips I already know of, and dreaming of trips to come!

I feel the same way! Travel books are my favorite read. Even if I'm not planning to go to the destination.
I was just sorting our travel shelves, because there are a few too many books to fit on the designated shelves. I could only bring myself to throw out about 3 books, so I had to take over another shelf, which was previously used for decorative items, in our hallway.

Well, I went straight to the Rome section, but just to cover the big 3, flatfeet gets the Rome intro, dcd gets the Venice into and Kristen gets Florence.
I also peeked ahead at Umbria, the big winner is Jackie in Italy.
I have to say, none of these ring a bell with me. I'm going to have to search their posts now...
