Affordable London Hotel for 4?
Hi!

Does anyone know of a nice place to stay in London that can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children (under 16 years) in the range of US$200 (I believe that would be about 118 pounds)? I've been having a hard time finding a "3 star" hotel that can put 4 people in a room.

Thank you for your help!

Sherrie,
Check the London Guards Hotel It offers a quad room for 125 pounds including a modest breakfast. Good location near Hyde Park, close to two tube stations. Go to:
www.demon.co.uk/hotel-uk/guards.html

Comments here from travelers who have stayed there have been favorable.

You may want to call the Thistle Hotel Chain -- They have a executive room (sleeps 3 or 4)at Marble Arch for 110 pounds including VAT. Also, the Radisson chain. We have an executive room at the Vanderbilt with 2 bed and a sofa bed for $139 pounds including VAT and breakfast. They also have family breakrates that should fit your needs

The Abbey House has some very large rooms for four for about $150 per night. I no longer have the URL bookmarked, but when we went to London last winter I did a web search for "Abbey House London" and found it immediately. This is NOT a fancy place, but it's clean and quite charming and right near the South Kensington tube station. It's a B&B in a typical Georgian home - we loved walaking around the neighborhood, and there was one very good Italian restaurant about two blocks away.
