Aer Lingus LAX-Dublin
I am STILL trying to plan this trip to Ireland but have run into a few changes...the biggest one is that my mom is NOT coming back to the states with us to live. (as was posted about previously)
Its been years since I've flown Aer Lingus.
What are your thoughts on Aer Lingus and out of LAX to Dublin? (It has the best fare vs. Continental right now)
Just wondering....
Thanks for any help.

Not personal experience Shadow, but my entire family and family friends took the flight two weeks ago to attend a wedding in Santa Barbara. There were no complaints: Flight landed more or less on time, food was OK, staff friendly, you have to pay for all alcohal. Fare was excellent (cheaper than MY fare from Victoria, BC!)
It certainly beat my sister's previous experience flying through London:
that just makes for a VERY long day.
Regards Ger

Thanks Ger. I now want to know if Aer Lingus' Airbus 300-200 has TV monitors on each seat back....I will post it as a new thread. The AL website does not indicate that they do but Northwest Airlines have the same planes and they have them.
Anyway, glad to know your family enjoyed the flight! I love Santa Barbara-they must have had a blast!

Thanks everyone!! I thought I'd call (duh!) AL and check to be sure....they said the planes have the seat monitors but they cannot guarantee that is the plane we would get...but I would think that more than likely that is what we would get....??

There are like 53 pictures of Aer Lingus planes at LAX from 1999 to this year. Every single picture there is a A330-200, and one of three specific aircrafts, registration EI-DAA, EI-EWR, & EI-LAX. I think the chance of having a different type is extremely low.

Here's another reason why you'll be on a 330-200. Aer Lingus doesn't fly any plane larger than an Airbus 330, and currently it has four 330-300 and three -200.
LAX-DUB is the longest route in its system, and the 330-200 has the longest range. The larger 330-300 may not have the range to make the west bound non-stop.
