Aer Lingus Coach?
I was wondering if anyone has had experience with Aer Lingus in coach. I am flying from Baltimore to Shannon in coach and wanted to know what to expect. How are the seats (I'm 5'9 and my husband is 6'2)? How's the food? Service? Any extra amenities? I flew with them last year in first class (but can't afford that again) and we got great little packets with earplugs, eyemasks etc. Do you get that in coach too? Thanks!
Angie

Angie:
Aer Lingus coach is just like any other coach on any other airline Ive been on. The staff is congenial and helpful (and not all of the are Irish!) Food is standard airline issue, chicken or beef. No extra amenities. Just tiny pillows and skimpy blankets! The galley remained open all the time and we could walk up anytime for snacks or soda or a drink. Not luxurious BUT they have gotten me safely to my destination each time and each time we have left on time and arrived a bit early. There are ATMs right outside of customs and passport control is quick!
Have a wonderful trip!

Angie:
I meant to say (not of them are Irish)!
Also, leaving Ireland on Aer Lingus back to the US, you do the customs thing in Shannon or Dublin and just breeze out of the airport when you arrive back home! Actually pretty great when all you want to do is get home!

ANGIE AER LINGUS IS MID RANGE IN COACH BETTER THAN AMERICAN AIRLINES (WHO ISNT DO THEY EVER TAKE OFF ON TIME?) BUT NOT UP TO THE STANDARD OF VIRGIN.FOOD IS OK GOODIES ARE MINIMAL.IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT LEGROOM CHECK IN EARLY AND ASK FOR THE EMERGENCY EXIT SEATS PEOPLE IN IRELAND DONT DO THIS SO MUCH SO THEY ARE EASIER TO GET.SIT BACK DRINK A COOL GUINNESS AND THINK OF THE GREAT TIME YOU WILL HAVE IN IRELAND WITH THE MONEY YOU HAVE SAVED BY NOT PAYING THE HORRENDOUS PRICES FOR FIRST CLASS TRAVEL.
