Let's all go to Ireland and give them some business.

I know people have written with differing experiences with Aer Lingus, but I've had great flights with them. Let's hope Virgin or BA picks them up.

My next door neighbors (from Ireland, living in USA) ALWAYS use this airline and love it.

It's a mixed bag, with Aer Lingus. Sometimes the flights, service, and personnel are brilliant. Other times, it's a torment of Aeroflot proportions.

Regardless, Aer Lingus are a bloated, state-sponsored airline. Their IT department, just as an example, spends millions every year maintaining a computer system that was obsolete thirty years ago.

Though tough times are sure, they may be productive. I hope that the current crisis forces them onto a more responsible footing!!!

Mick
www.dfaguide.com
