Advice on Swiss itinerary

I will be in Switzerland for about 2 days in
May. I'll be renting a car in Amsterdam, and
driving to Switzerland via Brussels and Luxembourg. I would like to visit Bern, Geneva, Lucern, and Zurich but I may not have time to see all the cities. Can anyone give
me an advice on which 2 cities I should not miss visiting?

I'd vote for Luzern - for the sheer beauty of the city and surrounding area - and a city not mentioned, Basel for the history.
I spent 2 weeks in Switzerland last summer. Luzern is nice, interesting, etc. But you will need to make a decision: mountains or towns?
If you opt for the mountains, the Berner Oberland is gorgeous. I walked the trails there until my feet protested
in anguish. Grindelwald has lots of hotels; so does Interlaken. Then there are the mountain perches of Murren and Wengen, all touristy but geared for a good time. You cannot drive to Murren or Wengen as a general rule.
If you want cities, then Luzern and draw another one out of a hat.

We'll be in Switzerland for 3 days in April and are spending 2 in the Bernese Oberland/Interlaken area and taking the train 1 day up to Luzern where we'll be departing on an overnight train to Salzburg. From all the advice I received, it was overwhelmingly for those 2 areas! And everyone raved about the Jungfrau excursion - the highest rail station in Europe at 11,300 ft., so we're definitely planning on that! A good base for that region is Interlaken. A great website for the region is www.interlakentourism.ch. Good luck and have a great trip - we're really looking forward to ours!
