Advice on Paris !!
Have narrowed down my choice of Paris hotel to

Scribe Hotel
Hotel du louvre
Lotti hotel

agency is proposing similar prices for these three range 220-250$, except Scribe hotel is a superior double room without breakfast, and hotel du louvre and Lotti Hotel are standard double with breakfast.

I have read the reviews of these three hotels in this site, but couldn't find much about Scribe, and Lottiwas mostly described as faded glory(?--does it mean it's in dire need of renovation?)

I'm looking for a well located-near metro and easy walking distance to major landmarks, but also if possible a comfortable/luxurious room.(I'm more used to Hyatt hotels in other countries but it was over the budget for me in Paris)

is there a big difference in a room between superior and standard?

anyone who has stayed in one of these 3 hotels?thanks for any advice..clock is ticking to my trip to Paris but i am still undecided on the hotels!!!There seems to be many beautiful and charming hotels in Paris!
We stayed at the Hotel du Louvre in 1998 and were very pleased. We travelled with American Airlines "city stays" vacations so I don't know if our room was average for that hotel. I suspect it was just a standard room but it was more than satisfactory. Also, the included breakfast was much better than some of the other Paris hotels we have stayed at.
The location was good - we walked to a lot of sights. There is also a metro station right outside. We usually stay in the 6th arr as the location is more convenient for what we like to do in
Paris, but I would certainly recommend the Hotel du Louvre.

Stayed at Hotel du Louvre earlier this year. Great location, enjoyed our stay and would highly recommed it!

We stayed at the Scribe, several years ago now, and my husband used to stay there quite often. We thought it excellent. It is certainly well located near metro Auber and boulevard Haussman.

The Lotti is right in the middle of all the Right Bank shopping and couture shops, it is a lovely hotel, the concierge and desk take excellent care of you.Our friend who has to go to Paris every year for the fashion shows stays there also and not wanting to go out a lot at night, she orders room service, they take great care of her and in my own way of thinking, the price is not bad! Good luck, have fun~
