Adria Airways? Or Others?
We're considering visiting Ljubljana - Istria - Venice in late Spring or early Fall. The challenges is getting to LJU from the U.S.
Plans are to fly American Airlines out of the U.S., but AA doesn't service LJU and doesn't have a booking arrangement with them. It's been suggested that we fly into Frankfurt or Zurich take Adria to LJU from there. For those of you who used Adria -- what did you think of them? How did you book?
Does anyone have suggestions for alternates? Thanks in advance.

I flew them back in 2001 from FRA to LJU to SKP [Skopje] They were terrific. Professional in every way. On the way back out of SKP we had to land in Zagreb and be bused to LJU because of snow and fog. They put us up for the night near the airport. We had left our luggage at the airport after claiming it and giving it back to them. We actually made our flight out of FRA the next morning [we were planning to spend the night there not outside LJU -- we barefully made the plane and guess what? Our luggage arrived safely in Chicago with us. I'd fly them again in a minute. Here's my report from Virtutal Tourist.

On the booking. I did it through our travel agent. They are in the system.
You can book them on Yahoo Travel [Travelocity]
Here is their English language website:

We flew Adria after booking on Lufthansa. We weren't aware that we weren't flying Lufthansa all the way.The plane was small but all went very well and on time. We couldn't get Air Canada miles though even though it had a Lufthansa flight no.
A minor point.

Hi
We flew Adria Air 3 yrs ago. Very professional. A good airline. we flew from Frankfurt to Ljubljana and return. Would not hesitate to use it again. Moast of the intra european flights we've taken the airlines use a small Airbus. I can't remember the model, but have always had a good flight.
