Acommodations

We're travelling in June to Ireland, probably Shannon and the West, and Giant's Causeway. I heard the Universities offer acommodations for cheaper than B&B's. Has anyone experienced staying in University apartments in Ireland?

You would get more responses if you would put Shannon in your title. With the single word "Accommodations", your area of interest could be anywhere. Unless someone looked at the tag, it could be anywhere in Europe. Suggest you repost.

Nukesafe,

Thanks for your suggestion; I tagged my post 'Europe', then 'Ireland'. Are you telling me it's appearing somewhere else?

Not exactly--but when people use the "today's activity" screen the tags don't show until you open up the post. Thus, no one knows what location you're interested in.

Scratch that last response! As you can tell, not all of us read all the way down in the new posting format.

No, I'm not telling you that. When you post something in the Europe section of Fodor's, it's title appears in the left hand column in bold blue letters. Whatever you "tag" it appears at the bottom of the entry in faint blue lettering. Most of the Fodorites who are used to the old format seldom look beyond the boldly lettered title. If that title is not specific as to what the poster is interested in, or it is about a subject with which we are not familiar, we don't bother to open it.

I, for one, only have a limited time each day to skim the new posts. I can't waste my time with those that might not be relevant. If the poster makes it clear that he/she needs input into a place I know something about, or the title is intriguing in some other way, I'll open and read it. I don't know why I opened yours.

Fodor's does not limit the length of post titles, so brevity is no virtue. If you are specific about what you want you will get lots of informed responses.

Stay with us, we really like to help.
