Accomodations in Pula, Croatia and Alesund, Norway

Does anyone have a recommendation for a room in Pula, Croatia? We are 2 seniors who will stay only 2 nights on our way to Zadar. We plan to take the catamaran from Pula to Zadar, which leaves at 7 a.m. So some place close to the dock would be ideal. The room doesn't have to be fancy, just clean and in a safe area. Also on the later part of our trip, we will head to Alesund, Norway and would appreciate any input about lodging there. Same concept as in Pula---clean and safe! Thanks

As you have a very early start, stay at https://www.hotelamfiteatar.com/home/ it is next to the dock where the catamaran leaves from.

In Alesund we stayed in what I believe are student rooms during the school year located behind the historic pharmacy containing a museum of Alesund's reconstruction after the fire at the beginning of the 20th century. The accommodations are very basic. I do not know how we found them, perhaps they were mentioned in the Lonely Planet guidebook.

Thanks. I checked it out and they are already booked on our required dates. It sounds like it would have been ideal.
