Accommodations in Amsterdam similar to Hotel Brouwer

Wondering if anyone would like to make suggestions as to where to stay in Amsterdam that is similar to Hotel Brouwer?

I would recommend the Owl Hotel.

It's slightly more expensive; however all taxes and breakfast are included. They also take credit cards.

The hotel is on a quiet street, 5 minutes walk from the Leidesplein and less than 10 minute walk to the Museumplein.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels in Amsterdam, but for personal travel, this is my favorite. Great location and great staff.

It's also a short walk to Sama Sebo restaurant, a must do restaurant in Amsterdame.

Can't speak for the hotel but I'll second Sama Sebo restaurant. EXCELLENT rijsttafel; Dutch word for rice table which is an assortment of anywhere from 20 to 40 side dishes served with rice. A MUST in Amsterdam!!

Check out the Hotel Aalders. Here's the link to the booking.com site.

Don't know how it compares to the Brouwer, but it's close to the Van Gogh Museum and is on a convenient tram line. Nice, family-run hotel in pretty residential area. We stayed there and would go back. Enjoy Amsterdam.

Sama Sebo is a mediocre Indonesian restaurant catering to tourists, even Kantjil & De Tijger serves better food.
