AC transport questions

2 quick questions I'm struggling with as we get down to the wire on our June trip!

I hadn't through through how we'll get from our Positano AirBNB (up quite high) to the ferry to Capri when we change locations - with our luggage, of course. It sounds as if the ferries leave quite early in the morning by 10am, what are my transport options to get to them? I can't find this anywhere despite much searching and this is the sort of thing that will send my husband over the edge if it's a huge pain.

Also: I'm still overwhelmed by all the options for a Pompeii day tour and think a private driver and tour guide is probably best for us. Any recommendations on who to use for this based on personal experience?

Thank you in advance!

Obviously taxis will be easy to reach the ferry in Positano.

And yes private driver best for Pompeii as public buses are slow.

Positano is quite small & it will be all down hill (lots of narrow stairs), so walking would be easy, except for the luggage, which will barely fit in the stairwells if there's no other tourists (there will be)
There are local taxis. I'd ask locally & the day before your departure and schedule your pick up. Don't think you need to pre-book weeks in advance.

Doing Pompeii from your base in Positano? You can join a group or hire a private guide right at the Ruins
Cheapest would be commuter bus to Sorrento & Circumvesuviana (local train) which stops right at the entrance to the Ruins (get off at Pompeii Scavi).
Faster would be taxi all the way to Pompeii.

Easiest would be car service for the entire day & they'll arrange the guide for you too.
We had great luck with Amerigo's car service when we were there.
