Abotel Jardins d' Eiffel Hotel

Will be in Paris in May, 2002. Thinking about staying at the Jardins d' Eiffel Hotel...Looking for feedback on this hotel from people who have stayed there recently...Thanks.

Is that the one on Rue Amelie? We stayed there last July. We thought it was fine - we had a room in the new bit at the back, with the tiniest balcony I've ever seen (just room for 2 chairs) - but it did have a view of the Eiffel tower from it - very nice in the evenings. The area is lovely - just off Rue St Dominique and near Rue Cler.

Yes, the rooms had air conditioning. The buffet breakfast was reasonably good - they had a gadget in which you could boil your eggs to your own satisfaction, fruit, cereals, juices, different breads - my daughter had chocolate croissants every day, of course!
Our room wasn't that small, and there were three of us. There was a safe, and a minibar (handy for storing our own drinks too)
Reception staff were very helpful - breakfast staff a little uncommunicative!!
