A Year in Provence Video search

I have been trying for about the last six months to get a copy of the video A Year in Provence. This was based on the Peter Mayle book and stars British actor John Thaw. In Britain it is a rarity but it is still sold by Amazon.com in the USA as a boxed set. The trouble is that the USA video format is different to UK and that does not solve my problems. I am writing to ask if anyone out there has a copy on UK format that they would be willing to sell to me.

Thanks Brenda

Brenda, you'll find that most UK video recorders made in the last five years or so, especially those with Nicam, can playback US videos. Quality may suffer a little, but is watchable. Just look for 'NTSC playback'. To covert from NTSC to PAL, I have used a mail order firm in Edinburgh C&A Video 0131 556 1866 who charge £15 per tape incl p&p.

I hope you're successful in your eBay bidding... In case anyone is interested, the series was shot not far from Apt (relatively close to where Peter Mayle lived). The house they chose to use was a vacation home belonging to a couple from Paris.
They got their entire house redone as their payment for the use of it. Not a bad deal....

PB
